Telling our Stories

As we are experiencing this significant moment in time, one productive coping mechanism during the COVID-19 pandemic is to keep a record of our thoughts, emotions and daily occurrences. What’s happening today will someday be taught as history, and we all have a story to tell.

Each of us is a constantly unfolding narrative, a hero in a novel no one else can write. Every time you tell your story and someone bears witness to it, it affirms us as humans and provides space to highlight commonalities, strengths and honor, even in crisis. Telling our stories can be the most powerful, cathartic medicine on earth.

Whether you are in quarantine at home or working through the crisis – your story is unique and important. Betances’ family -patients, employees, friends, and partners are encouraged to submit their experiences during this unprecedented time.

Please consider sharing your story with the marketing team via video or written statement to highlight and document the Betances’ family experience: From Crisis to Community.

If you or someone you know would like to share, please contact me at thorton@betances.org
